Zo Blow is an instrumentalist, artist, producer, arranger, and recording engineer, known for his soulful trombone performances and versatility with brass instruments. He plays and has recorded on trombone, trumpet, euphonium, tuba, alto sax, drums, and piano.
Starting his musical journey in church at age 2, Zo Blow toured the gospel circuit as an adolescent. He attended Georgia Southern University on a football scholarship, played drums in jazz ensembles, and graduated in 2014 with a B.A. in Justice Studies/Pre-Law and a minor in music performance.
Post-graduation, Zo performed at festivals, venues, and weddings, joining bands like Liquid Pleasure, APX, and the Michael Jackson tribute band “Who’s Bad.” He toured North America and later joined the B.B. King All Star Band, performing on Holland America cruises, visiting Alaska, the Caribbean, and various European countries. In 2018, he opened “MoodSwing Studios” in Durham, NC, serving as lead engineer.
Zo Blow has shared stages with artists like Amber Sauer, Vanessa Ferguson, Tony Terry, Ryan Cross, Eric Gales, and Chris Johnson. His influences include J.J. Johnson, Wyclef Gordon, Jeff Bradshaw, Troy Andrews, Terrace Martin, Keyon Harold, Wynton Marsalis, and Jazmine Sullivan.
