About Jay McGee
It all started for Jay McGee as a fresh-faced young 16 year old who lied about his age to get a job as a Butlins Red Coat, where over a few summer seasons he honed his craft and developed his unique style of comedy along with the vocal impressions. He developed his act to a high standard that other prestigious venues herd of Jay McGee and were soon keen to have him entertain their guests, with Warners being one of them.
Jay’s versatility allows him to captivate all types of audiences, from family holiday parks to cruise ships. No venue or audience will phase Jay in any way as can adapt his visual personal and unique comedy to suit all, often leaving many in tears of laughter.
While he can be a bit saucy, there will be NO swearing and he will never be blue (a fact Jay Prides Himself on) He believes real laughter does not need this!
He was until recently known as the lead singer of the British 60’s band the Rockin’ Berries, he has now left them to continue his solo career due to the Berries retiring in 2014.
Jay has performed at the Royal Variety Command Show in front of Her Royal Highness Princess Anne. He has also made a number of TV appearances; which have allowed him the privilege to work with Julian Clary, Simon Cowell, Roy Wood, Bobby Davro, Paul O’Grady and many more! he even auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent.
Jay is quite happy working at home within the UK or internationally. Over the past couple of years, Jay has perfected his cruise ship shows to please audiences of all nationalities working with the likes of Thomson and P&O.
If you’re lucky enough to be in the audience at one of Jays shows then your in for a special night of comedy – uncanny vocal impressions and some fantastic singing – Mr. Jay McGee the best of the best !
