About Cheaza
Powerhouse: “A person or thing of great energy, strength, or power.” This is a perfect description of the multi-talented performer, Cheaza. Born and raised in Southern California. Cheaza aspired to be a singer and actress from a very young age, influenced musically by artists from Whitney Houston, Pat Benatar, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Journey, and many other great artists. She often performed in talent shows, as well as guest spots all over California with her mother, a former Ikette for Ike and Tina Turner.
A very athletic teen, Cheaza excelled in basketball, tennis, volleyball, gymnastics, and track and field, where she often competed with once known world champion Marion Jones.
Her performing career steadily progressed to commercials, trade shows modeling, and television appearances, including a guest spot on E!’s “Ice Loves Coco,” NBC’s “City Guys,” “The View,” and hosting on the CW network. Her dynamic vocal ability was also featured on MTV’s “The X Factor”, “Extra,” “South of Nowhere” on CBS, and a compilation album from The N network (now TeenNick,) along with other artists The Donnas, Natasha Beddingfield, Drake, E! Entertainment, Malcolm in the middle on Nickelodeon soundtrack album, Universal Pictures “Bring it on;In it to win it,” Fuel TV, and NRJ 12 France Hosting spot.
As a backup singer/improvisation for Wayne Brady, Cheaza graced prestige stages from Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, to the Las Vegas Strip. You can also find her singing on Wayne Brady’s album, “A Long Time Coming”. She also was the lead singer/host for 4.5 years in one of the Strip’s hottest performances, sexy modern burlesque show “Peepshow,” at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The The musical was created by an award-winning team, led by Tony Award winning creator, director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell. Cheaza has also performed as a lead singer in one of the longest ongoing shows in Las Vegas, Don Arden’s “Jubilee.”
During her time in Las Vegas, she has also had many feature spreads and articles in publications such as InTouch Magazine, Las Vegas Magazine, Las Vegas Fit Magazine, What’s On Magazine, Vegas Player Magazine, the Las Vegas Weekly, and the Vegas Review-Journal. Cheaza has also hosted/written/directed/co-produced internet marketing spots for Peepshow. She successfully release her first calendar in 2012 and was voted “Best Singer of Las Vegas” in 2013 by The Las Vegas Review-Journal people choice. She has also shared the stage and recording studio with Jon Secada, All-4-One, Marie Osmond and many more. Cheaza has released her single “You’re Beautiful” on itunes and in China on QQ Music. She’s headlined at The Shenzhen Bay as a guest entertainer on major cruise lines for over 11 years!
