About Cara Roberts
Cara Jane Roberts, at the age of eight, appeared in her first professional production playing the lead role of ‘Blousy’ in ‘Bugsy Malone’ at the ‘Winter Gardens Theatre’ Blackpool.
With a move abroad to first Cyprus then Dubai, Cara experienced a wealth of opportunity as a vocalist performing for large International audiences and at times accompanied by the prestigious Regimental band. With a passion and talent for both acting and singing, Cara pursued her chosen path further and returned to the UK to train in the Bonnie lands of Scotland.
In Edinburgh she appeared in many stage productions and took part in the infamous ‘Edinburgh Fringe’. Upon graduating from Edinburgh University Cara was offered a place at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and partook in a year’s Diploma course in Musical Theatre. In London she appeared in several musical productions and played the lead role of the Witch in ‘Into the Woods’ by Stephen Sondheim. Whilst in London she received her Diploma in Television Presenting, from the Royal Academy of Film, Television and Radio.
Cara was a recipient of the ‘Ian Fleming Award’ and the DIP RAM Award of Distinction from the Royal Academy. Credits include both Stage and Screen. Exposure to an International market has resulted in many opportunities to appear for High Profile Brands and a Worldwide audience.
As an actress and vocalist, Cara Roberts performs a repertoire of infamous ballads from the divas, through to show stopping stage numbers … delivering the story through the song! Her unique style engages with her audience, to create a relaxed and sophisticated evening as though each guest was personally invited to join. Cara showcases a wealth of musical numbers within her performance. With her powerful voice and immediate stage presence she takes the audience through an evening of high profile entertainment.
