There has never been a DURAN DURAN Tribute band like this!

Planet Earth pays tribute to the band that started it all, iconic 80’s New Wave/New Romantic band Duran Duran. Did you know? Duran Duran have sold more than 100 million records worldwide!

Formed in 2012 with 5 people that love the 80’s, it’s music and more importantly Duran Duran. Planet Earth presents an authentic live version of Duran Duran by utilizing period instruments and incorporating precise costuming. Planet Earth brings the Duran Duran experience up close and personal to any venue, large or small. Spanning hits like 1981’s debut single Planet Earth thru 2004’s (Reach Up for The) Sunrise, the music really comes to life! Through hard work and determination Planet Earth have staked their place in the tribute band market and have created a grass roots following that continues to grow everyday.

Duran Duran frontman Simon LeBon is immortalized by “Diamond” David Prince. Bearing a striking resemblance to Simon himself, the comparisons keep coming as “Diamond” David delivers in uncanny accuracy, the vocal tenor and styling that made Duran Duran a household name all through the 80’s, into the 90’s and even today.

Guitarist Curtis “Gunner” Rey brings all the attitude and swagger of guitarist Andy Taylor. Beside looking like Andy, Curtis recreates very closely Duran Duran’s signature guitar sound and style, delivering the riffs and solos with as much bravado as the original, while maintaining youthful enthusiasm and the energy of Andy’s frenetic live performance.

Don Henry, Planet Earth’s Nick Rhodes and muscial director, brings all the flash and glamour of Nick in his early days with Duran Duran. Don also brings all the synth lines and keyboard melodies to the music that keeps people coming back for more.

Founder Ricky “Dizz” Hammock as John Taylor on bass, captures the charisma and charm of original bassist John Taylor. Perfectly recreating the memorable bass lines and grooves that kept them dancing all through the 80’s.

G.W. Pope III as Roger Taylor on drums & percussion, the lineup is complete. Playing with the fluidity and flair of the original, Planet Earth’s backbeat is formidable, tight and solid.

No other tribute band brings the accuracy and energetic feel of 80’s era Duran Duran like Planet Earth. With attention to detail with regard to live performance, you’re sure to leave a Planet Earth show satisfied and wanting more.

If you love Duran Duran like we do and want to hear their music the way it was meant to be heard… LIVE, then you will not want to miss Planet Earth!
